WHAT TO EXPECT
We understand that visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous. Relax. Your time at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church will be enjoyable for your whole family. We encourage inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome.
When you come you will witness a cross-section of all God's people. We are a diverse group of Christians. We come from many different cultures, social backgrounds and we are all at various ages and stages of life. Yet we all come together to worship God with thanksgiving and praise. We all come to experience and be transformed through Jesus Christ.
FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
We do not have a dress code. Some people wear “traditional” style clothing and some are casual. We want you to feel comfortable in your modest wear.
We are a scent free zone. Please wear fragrance free body products when you come and keep the perfumes for another engagement.
DO YOU HAVE A NURSERY?
Yes, we do. The Nursery is available during all services for children 3 years of age and under.
DO YOU HAVE A SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM?
Yes, we do. We have Sunday School for ages 4-12 and a youth group program for ages 13-16.
The children and youth stay in the service until "Family Time." During "Family Time" the children are invited to the front to engage in some fun interaction with the pastor. After that, the Sunday School teachers take them into their classes for the rest of the service. There is no Sunday School on the last Sunday of every month because we hold an inter-generational service (see below)
WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?
Our services are mostly “blended.” The worship music comes primarily from hymns of the faith, but we do also use contemporary worship songs. We have a wonderful choir and we use a screen and projector during our services. The focus of all of our meetings is the Word of God.
On the first Sunday of every month we hold an inter-generational service where our youth and children actively participate in the worship service.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU SERVE COMMUNION?
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month. Ours is an open table where all regardless of denomination are welcome to share in the sacraments.
